Welcome to LiftHero ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application LiftHero (the "App"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the App.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide, including account information (name, email address), profile data (bodyweight, age, gender, height, training history, fitness goals), workout data (exercises, sets, reps, weights, RPE, notes, personal records), body measurements, and profile photos. We may also automatically collect device type, operating system, app version, and crash/diagnostic reports to improve the App.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to: provide, operate, and maintain the App; sync your workout data across devices when you are signed in; detect personal records and generate progress statistics; process subscription payments; improve and personalize your App experience; communicate with you about updates and support; and comply with legal obligations.
3. Local Storage & Cloud Sync
By default, all workout data is stored locally on your device using SQLite and is not transmitted to our servers. Cloud sync only occurs when you explicitly create an account. You may clear all locally stored data at any time via Settings > Data Management > Clear All Data. You may delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time via Settings > Account > Delete Account.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide the App and comply with our legal obligations. Local data is stored on your device until you clear it or uninstall the App. Cloud data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion. You may request deletion of your data at any time by deleting your account in Settings or by contacting us at the email address below.
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We share your data with: (a) Supabase, our cloud database provider, solely to provide sync functionality; (b) RevenueCat, our subscription management provider, to process and manage premium subscriptions; and (c) when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of LiftHero or our users. All third-party providers are required to maintain appropriate data protection standards.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and secure cloud storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access or correct your personal data; request deletion of your personal data; data portability (export your data via Settings > Data Management); and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, delete your account in Settings or contact us at the email below. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
9. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services: Supabase (cloud database and authentication — privacy policy); RevenueCat (subscription management — privacy policy). These services have their own privacy policies governing their data practices. We encourage you to review them.
10. Camera & Photo Library
LiftHero requests access to your camera and photo library solely to allow you to set a profile photo or capture a background image for sharing your workouts. Photos are only accessed when you explicitly choose to select or take a photo. We do not access, scan, or store any photos other than those you explicitly select.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
